So scientists, eager to create new stem cell lines, have decided to try and transplant human material into a Rabbit egg to start gestation of an embryo, which they can then harvest for stem cell lines.

To put it another way, human genetic material will be grown in a rabbit egg. It’s much like cloning, except instead of a human egg, it’s a rabbit egg.

So rabbit + human material = Rabbitman! Well, it would if it were allowed to develop.

I did see something about this a while ago. It was called “The Island of Dr. Moreau”.

Does anyone else get as creeped out about embryonic stem cell research as I do?
