Bill Makes the Case for Divorce

Well, he makes Hillary’s case, anyway. Nice to have him on the stump, eh, Hill?

BILL CLINTON: Some of you may have seen it. She took a terrible beating in the press for a few days, cause she was exhausted at 11 o’clock at night and she started talking about Bosnia, and she misstated the circumstances under which she landed in Bosnia. Did y’all see all that? And, oh, they acted like she, you know, she was practically Mata Hari, you know, just making up all this stuff . . . Hillary one time, late at night, misstated and immediately apologized for it, what happened to her in Bosnia in 1995. Did y’all see all that? Oh, they blew it up, and you would have thought, you know, that she robbed a bank, the way they all carried on about this. And some of them when they’re 60, they’ll forget something when they’re tired at 11 o’clock at night, too.

And the compound lie told by the Clintoon:

  1. It wasn’t “11 o’clock at night,” it was mid-morning on at least one occasion.
  2. It wasn’t “one time.” She made the statement several times, including at least once as part of prepared remarks.
  3. She didn’t “immediately apologize.” To the contrary, her campaign stonewalled for 11 days until CBS rolled tape of the event in question,
  4. showing Hillary not running with her head down as she claimed, but relaxedly participating in a welcoming ceremony on the tarmac.
  5. It was 1996, not 1995.
  6. Most egregiously, in my opinion, Hillary has been compared to a lot of things, but never, never!, to Mata Hari.

The couple that lies together, stays together!

Obama Madrassa Fashionista

Hillary’s goons have been circulating this picture of Obama in Somalia. (Thanks to Robert Spencer at Jihad Watch.)

Yes, it’s a low blow. But remember, those in glass houses (or funny hats) should not cast stones.

Bill Clinton the Shady

Seems he had a hand in a major uranium deal, and profited handsomely from it.

I don’t think he’s really any different from most politicians.  But you have to wonder about his loyalties.

She’ll also tell her if Obama is mean to her!

Come on… her mother!?

Where does Hillary get her cash?

From poor Chinese minimum-wage workers!  And she gets it in droves!

We’ve already seen the shenanigans with Norman Hsu.  And it seems he was just the tip of the Glacier-Berg.

Even the highly-conservative TheNation is taking notice of Hill’s odd fundraising methods.

Is it any wonder how Democrats are raising so much money?  How many are in the pocket of foreign interests?

Now I get to display the new Clinton “takin’ Chinese money” photo, courtesy of Zombie:

Clintoon Warns of Imminent Destruction

Bill Clintoon says:

“[Disasters are] coming,” Clinton said. “And I know there is no great political constituency for it, but we can avert these disasters for not very much money if they can be put into the public debate and people understand clearly what’s going to happen.”

The Kennedy Center is spending $1.5 million to find out why governments around the world are ignoring obvious threats.

I know the answer! It’s because governments are corruptible and they spend their disaster preparedness money on pet projects and eventually leave so little money there nothing can be done with it. Can I have $500,000 now?

And David Roberts is over at Puffingtons again talking out of his posterior. He’s praising the junior senator from Montana for killing a bill because it doesn’t address carbon sequestering from coal-based energy production:

Tester isn’t against coal. He supports it; he’s from a coal state. But as his spokesflack says, Tester believes “we must first pave the way for a sustainable and responsible future in coal development by ensuring the capture and storage of carbon emissions.” He realizes that blundering ahead with coal before addressing its emissions is tantamount to collective suicide, and he’s not willing to sign on with that for the sake of a big-money industry in his state.

Given how many jobs Tester’s willing to sacrifice for a process that doesn’t even exist yet, he may be in trouble come the next election cycle.

On the other hand, Wyoming senator Craig Thomas (R) is interested in coal-fuel technologies to attempt to lessen our dependence on oil.

I guess that means Tester is beholden to Big Oil? What a shill!

The Pro-Genocide Candidate

I don’t know what Hillary is thinking. First she dredges up the Vast Right-Wing Conspiracy meme again, and now she’s out there saying we should keep a US presence in Iraq, but it should be small and it shouldn’t intervene even if there’s genocide.

What kind of foreign policy is that?

To sum up my feelings on it, just read what Captain Ed has to say:

More nuanced? It’s abysmal, cynical, and completely self-serving. To commit the US to inaction in the face of genocide is nothing short of breathtaking, especially with the Left agitating for action — and rightly so — in Darfur. It should also remind voters of Bill Clinton’s record in Rwanda.

The Left always seems concerned and wants us to “do something”. They just never want to “do it right”.

The Return of the Vast Right-Wing Conspiracy

Nothing speaks of Presidential qualifications like claiming you’re the victim of a conspiracy. Well, Nixonian qualifications, anyway.

On Tuesday, she asserted the conspiracy is alive and well, and cited as proof the Election Day 2002 case of phone jamming in New Hampshire, a case in which two Republican operatives pleaded guilty to criminal charges, and a third was convicted.

“To the New Hampshire Democratic party’s credit, they sued and the trail led all the way to the Republican National Committee,” Clinton said.

“So if anybody tells you there is no vast right-wing conspiracy, tell them that New Hampshire has proven it in court,” she said.

If you believe for one second that one political party does all the “dirty tricks” and the other is clad in innocence, you’re deluded. Republicans pull these stunts. Democrats slash tires. It happens everywhere.

But if you want to prove yourself as a paragon of virtue, nothing works better than the ol’ “I’m a victim!” claim.

Hillary Clinton claimed back in 1998 that her husband was the victim of the VRWC. And it was a Republican who investigated his misconduct as President. (Who else would it be? A Democrat? Ha!) And now she claims that there is a conspiracy because of phone-jamming, a violation of FCC rules. Bear in mind the Republicans didn’t prevent anyone from voting– they just prevented people from harassing others into voting.

Heck, some people may even be thankful.

So, if you’re a Democrat or you’re thinking of voting for Hillary, do you really want someone with a history of extreme paranoia sitting in the Oval Office? Last guy who did that resigned.

Clinton Loses It When Wallace Insults Muhammed

During an interview with Chris Matthews for Fox News Sunday, Bill Clinton was asked the following question by Matthews:

“Recently, the Pope quoted an emperor from 600 years ago, remarks that had little kind to say about Muhammed. The results of the Pope’s words were riots, arson, and killing around the globe. What I would ask you, Mr. President, is Muhammed a big jerkwad or what?”

“How dare you insult the prophet! Those who insult the profet shall be beheaded! A fatwah upon your head, soulless infidel!”

Ok. I made all that up. All except the Clinton getting upset bit.

But, you know, it’s tough being the President Who Let Bin Laden Go. I’m sure that eats at his gut, just as it would any of us. It’s a sore subject, and he’s reminded of it all the time. I don’t think we really need to ask the guy in every interview if he screwed up with Bin Laden, because, as we all know, he did.

However, if he goes out there to do legacy-building, and then says he sick of Rove’s “bulls**t”, then he should be aware that he will be consistently reminded of his failures because it’s something closely identified with him.

Bush 41 wasn’t a great president, either. But we look on him kindly because when he left office, he pretty much disappeared. Same with Reagan. The two of them did things like attend state funerals, do some speaking tours, but they largely avoided the political arena. Clinton (and Carter) have injected themselves into politics, mainly to try and rebuild the legacies of their tepid performances in office. And if you’re going to do that, you really should be prepared for the tough questions.

UPDATE: The transcript is up over at Think Progress. Here’s a snippet:

WALLACE: Do you think you did enough sir?
CLINTON: No, because I didn’t get him.
WALLACE: Right…
CLINTON: But at least I tried. That’s the difference in me and some, including all the right wingers who are attacking me now. They ridiculed me for trying. They had eight months to try and they didn’t…I tried. So I tried and failed. When I failed I left a comprehensive anti-terror strategy and the best guy in the country, Dick Clarke… So you did FOX’s bidding on this show. You did you nice little conservative hit job on me. But what I want to know..

Effectively Clinton says, “They had 8 whole months. Forget about my 8 years.” That’s totally disingenuous. Not to mention when Bush tried, he invaded a country. Clinton fired missiles at an empty training camp and a pharmaceutical plant in Africa.

More:

CLINTON: It was a perfectly legitimate question but I want to know how many people in the Bush administration you asked this question of. I want to know how many people in the Bush administration you asked: Why didn’t you do anything about the Cole? I want to know how many you asked: Why did you fire Dick Clarke? I want to know…

So, it’s classic Clinton deflection. It’s not my fault! I do feel sorry for the guy, but he’s really not doing any good out there, polarizing the political debate and then bringing up these ad hominem attacks on a news network.
