Bad Jokes = Human Rights Violation

Canadian comic Guy Earle is under siege!  Some lesbian hecklers at one of his shows are accusing him of violating their human rights by saying some of the things he did at the show to them.  The initial complain was heard in a preliminary hearing by humorless autocrat Heather MacNaughton (who worked over Mark Steyn), who ruled there was enough evidence to convene a trial.

From what I understand, this is all over heckling.  The lesbians say he crossed a line.  But seriously, folks, if you go to a comedy club and start shouting “You suck” at a comedian– you get what’s coming to you.  If you can’t laugh at the jokes, don’t.  But if you start heckling, you’re exposing yourselves to ridicule– and that’s exactly what they got.  And I heard Earle’s ridicule, and it’s funny.  Really really funny.

Does Canada really have to waste money dragging Guy Earle into a court to determine if he is a Human Rights Violator?  Come on– he’s a comic.  And a funny one.  Stop wasting time with this and let him get back to making people laugh.  An art some people (do you hear me Heather MacNaughton?) seem to have lost.

(I bet she’ll giggle if you call Bush Chimpy McDrinkerHitlerson.)

McClellan: I Don’t Know What Happened

But the book has already been ordered and shipped to thousands to deluded Left-wingers. Suckers!

At least he had the integrity to tell Congress he didn’t really have any idea what was happening.

Played. Like. A. Fiddle.

Scott McClellan and the Book of the Century

A while ago, I wrote about an excerpt of Scott McClellan’s book (before I moved to WordPress, and somehow the move ate the quote on that post). It was clear then that McClellan was trying to manufacture some Lefty outrage to increase book sales. Why would he want to suck up to the Left? Because they buy books. If you look at the political non-fiction books released lately, all the #1s are books that appeal to the looney Left. McClellan, who’s already filed affidavits for investigation into the Plame leak, now comes out saying Bush was the one who authorized the leak. Why didn’t he testify earlier, when he wasn’t working for the White House and writing this book? If he’s so interested in doing the right thing, why not testify then?

The Washington Post confirms this with the statement McClellan’s book was first regarded as “a not-very-interesting, typical press secretary book.” After his editor says insinuates “It won’t sell unless it’s got something juicy in it”, now McClellan suddenly realizes Bush Lied.

He also criticized memoirs of other Administration “turncoats”, saying pretty much what I’m saying here:

McCLELLAN: Well, why, all of a sudden, if he had all these grave concerns, did he not raise these sooner? This is one-and-a-half years after he left the administration. And now, all of a sudden, he’s raising these grave concerns that he claims he had. And I think you have to look at some of the facts. One, he is bringing this up in the heat of a presidential campaign. He has written a book and he certainly wants to go out there and promote that book. Certainly let’s look at the politics of it. His best buddy is Rand Beers, who is the principal foreign policy advisor to Senator Kerry’s campaign. The Kerry campaign went out and immediately put these comments up on their website that Mr. Clarke made. …

It’s pretty clear the motivation of McClellan’s book. The only people who could buy this garbage are Democrat propagandists and/or music professors.

Passing the Torch

Finally, a San Francisco protest that’s meaningful. Well, sort-of. Given the protests in London and Paris, Chinese officials and SF Mayor Gavin Newsom (D) conspired to mislead the crowds and run a secret torch route somewhere in San Francisco, while fans of the Olympics and protestors lined the parade route to object to China’s abyssmal human rights record.

The Olympics has always been a ceremony of the individuals of countries that are expressing peaceful competition for the sake of unity. The best athletes represent their countries, and we’ve seen some of the best of the nations give remarkable statements in their triumph.

But now enter China, which routinely stifles free speech, and even stifles the lives of those grasping for freedom. Such was the case recently in Tibet. Is China truly a forum that promotes the Olympian ideal? Or is it merely a money/publicity stunt for a brutal regime?

I think we all know what the answer to that is. We should all also recognize that the mayor of San Francisco, the place of my birth, willingly conspired with Communist officials to safeguard their interests as well as deny fans and protesters alike meaningful discourse. When the torch is diverted in a clandestine manner, it really smacks of a “government that knows better than the rabble”.

But such is the nature of the spineless weasel that was elected in San Francisco. At least the mayors of London and Paris let the masses show their distaste for the Olympic games in China with a direct embarrassment of the Chinese. Mayor Newsom is too interested in appeasing the Communists than to let freedom-loving people show their abject disgust with the oppressive Chinese government.

Can we hang these guys out to dry yet?

It seems that honest, straightforward Washington Lobbyist, Sadaam Hussein, paid for three US Representatives to go to Iraq and try and prevent the US-Led invasion in 2002.

Representatives Jim McDermott (D-Washington), David Bonoir (D-Michigan) and Mike Thompson (D-California) headed to Baghdad before the Iraq invasion to denounce the Bu$$$$hitler’s plan to invade Iraq. And they did it all on Sadaam’s dime.

Given that we were still at war with Iraq from the first Gulf War (remember, a cease fire is not a peace treaty– and it was a cease fire that was routinely broken by Sadaam’s forces), doesn’t this put all three up for treason? I’d settle for just getting them out of politics in general. Bonoir’s out, leaving Congress after 14 terms (28 years– term limits, anyone?) to run for governor of Michigan (where he thankfully lost in a primary).

Mike Thompson still serves in Congress, as does McDermott. I say they need censure and removal from their seats. If they get reelected then we can assume their constituents are complete morons and we should strip their districts of all Federal funding for supporting open traitors to the United States.

At least Neville Chamberlain didn’t go to Berlin on Hitler’s money.

The Mayor of Detroit is in Trouble

He was having an affair.  Just one of many little things he was doing while diddling the taxpayers’ money away on a ruined Detroit.

Oh, and the story neglects to mention it.  He’s a Democrat.

And just remember– any sex scandal with a Republican ALWAYS states their party affiliation next to their name.

How many people out there think Gary “He May Have Killed a Woman He May Have Been Sleepign With” Condit was a Republican?  Show of hands?  Well, Gary was a Democrat, too.  And one who was railroaded by the 4th Estate.

Just ask Larry Craig.

27%! And 1 in 8.88x 10^22 7×10^15.

So the running total on “faux undecided voters” at the YouTube Republican debate is now eight.

  • LeeAnn, our Union Rep with ties to John Edwards
  • Journey“, the abortion questioner, who “Can’t Stop Believin’” for John Edwards
  • David, the maybe-Log Cabin Republican, maybe-Paulbot, but certainly an Obama supporter
  • Ted, the farm subsid guy, who just happened to show up on Politico with SoandSo who is video pals with…
  • David McMillan, who asked about black voters (nice catch on that Jason)
  • Mark, the Paulbot who wanted a Ronulan Independent run, is actually in the tank for Bill Richardson. Mark obviously wants Paul to split Republican votes.
  • Adam, a former Dick Durbin (Senator, D-ILL) worker
  • “The Gay General”, Keith Kerr, who apparently still works the Clinton Gay Steering Committee.
  • And now, much to everyones non-surprise, there’s Yasmin, who’s a former CAIR intern.

So, there were 33 videos, and 9 of them come from Democratic activists, not “undecided voters”. That’s 27% of the selected videos coming from activists. CNN/YouTube had over 5000 videos to surf through, and they managed to pick 33 where over one-quarter were activists of various Democratic candidates!

27%!

So let’s have some fun with some numbers. Say 30% of the country is Democrats. And say 2% of that 30% are political activists. That means there are 1,680,000 political activists for the Democratic party in the US (that number sounds a bit high, but let’s play benefit of the doubt). So if you put them into the US population, essentially 6 out of every 1000 would be a political activist from the Democratic party.

So if you have a sample of, say, 5000 videos, then about 30, statistically speaking, would be from Democratic activists, if the stats for video submission mirror those of the public at large.

So the odds of picking 1 of those videos are approximately 1 in 167, if the sample is conducted at random and all 5000 videos present viable questions.

So what would be the odds of picking 9 videos from those 30 Democratic activists?

1 in 8.88 x 10^22. Or, for the scientific notationly challenged:

1 in 88,800,000,000,000,000,000,000.

The odds of being struck by lightning are 1 in 576000. So for this to randomly occur, it is like being struck just under 4 times in your life by lightning.

Now, it’s late and I’m tired, but I think that math is correct (feel free to correct me any math folks out there).

UPDATE: Yes, I’m tired. 8.88 x 10^22 was a little large, but I was too tired to reason out why. The Conductor pointed out my math was for all 9 to be picked in a row, not out of a random sample of 30. When you take that into consideration, the number drops to a paltry one in seven trillion, or 1 in 7,000,000,000,000,000 (that’s 1 in 7.0 x 10^15). So I was off by a factor of 7. I apologize to CNN and say that the corrections make the probability much more likely (than my original guess)!

Another Plant?

Questioner LeeAnn Anderson is the assistant to one Leo Gerard, President of the American Steel Workers Union and John Edwards supporter. I didn’t find a direct link, but it’s certainly odd that all of these people with connections to unions or Democrat political operatives are well-represented of the 40 questions brought up in the YouTube debate.

Update: So far 4 of the 40 questions (and a possible fifth and sixth) are verified as Democratic political activists. What are the odds that 10% of the chosen questions (of 5000+ questions) come from DNC partisans?

If Anderson Cooper and his staff weren’t checking the backgrounds on their chosen questioners, then they’re incompetent. If they did know the background of their questioners, they’re partisans for the Democrats. One thing is for certain: I’m think I know who the Mole is.

Rudy’s Dirty Little Secret?

Looks like Rudy was hiding tabs for trips to the Hamptons for his illicit affair with his then-mistress Judith Nathan by charging them to lesser-known city agencies.

Rudy’s been a solid guy on crime. He’s good with finances, too. But I never really liked the way he’s run his personal life (he ditched his wife after he recovered from cancer). And now I like him even less.

Number two:  what happens if you actually buy something from spam email?

The answer may surprise you.

Now, if he can just buy some of that cheap v1@gr@ or C1@l1s, it’ll make men around the world happy or sad at the same time.
