Nancy Pelosi wants to “end the divisiveness” in Washington. Strange, that’s what GW Bush said in 2000. And what we got was hair-on-fire liberals accusing Bush of masterminding 9/11 and lying to invade Iraq.
So, a former representative is hawking a book about how to impeach Bush (and Cheney).
She’s a former rep, so she has no say in Washington. Last thing elected officials want to do is take advice from a loser. But we’ve all heard about Rep. John Conyers holding mock impeachment trial hearings in the basement of the Capitol.
I pretend I’m the GM of the San Francisco Giants, but I don’t go into my basement with a bunch of friends and pretend to organize minor league call-ups. That’s just insane.
But look who’s in charge of Judiciary in the House. Conyers. So who’s going to run the impeachment inquiry? Conyers. If he’s nuts enough to run a mock hearing the basement of the Capitol, he’s nuts enough to try it in the House. Will that jive with Nancy? I’m betting that she’s got a lot of favors due people after her quick rise to the Minority Leadership position, and Conyers is a guy who likes to take markers. So we’ll see how she plays it.
H/T Michelle Malkin.
