Nancy’s got a new one over at the PuffingTons Host where she’s all fired up about “the troops”.
This morning, I visited our brave men and women at the Bethesda Naval Medical Center. It is a place of prayers, of honor, of respect, and reflection. And I left there more committed than ever to bringing the war to an end.
What typical liberal garbage. She’s been minority leader for a few years now, and has she ever gone to Iraq to see the good our troops are doing? What about her colleagues? Harry Reid? The one good thing I can say about Al Franken is that he’s gone to Iraq for the troops, and he’s entertained them. These Democrat suits have never stepped foot in Iraq, but they go to Bethesda all the time to bemoan the war and the toll it’s taking on our troops and country.
It’s the same rationale they used in Vietnam. Except there we had conscripted troops. The war was unpopular because people were being forced to go. Here, military volunteers are in Iraq fighting on our behalf. Sacrificing. Doing their part to secure Iraq versus tyranny and give a chance for democracy to grow.
But instead, Nancy’s talking about cutting and running. Here’s what she said in her short post to the moonbats:
We will honor the trust of the American people; we will not disappoint.
Too late. I’m disappointed. Precisely because she’s not honoring the sacrifice of the American troops in Iraq. She’s not honoring our promises to the Iraqis that we will deliver them from fear. We’re not honoring our commitment to the Iraqi forces who have risked so much to make Iraq a better place for their families and others. There is no honor is abandoning a position for political expediency. There is no honor is bowing before a terrorist force. There is no honor is signaling to the world that America is weak and without resolve.
There is no honor is buying a temporary peace for the price of a secure future. None at all, Speaker Pelosi.
