I had a beautiful first round

But I always falter when I get to the second round.

It’s always that round that kills me. But these are some very close games. Hard to say it’s a bad year for the tournament, just a bad year for another one of my brackets. Why do I even bother?

It’s like gambling. I know how to play craps, blackjack, other games. I know the odds. I know how to bet, when to bet, how to maximize wins while minimizing losses. So what happens? Last night my wife and I go to the casino. I lose $40 at the craps table in 5 minutes. ($5 bets!) It’s like the dice just totally folded. And my wife? She plays the slots and goes up $165. And then I go play the Star Wars penny slot (where you can play 30 lines), and I lose another 25. Truthfully, I had no idea what I was doing, or even how they get 30 lines out of it. I was so confused.

Lesson learned? When gambling, give my wife all of the money, and go get free drinks at the nickel slots.
