Debate #3 Semi-Live Blog

I’ve been watching for the past 30 minutes (I was getting the kids to bed). McCain has come alive and has gone on the attack, and he’s touched on Ayers and attacked with ACORN, especially funding to ACORN, once as a rebuttal.

Now we’re going into climate change. We haven’t talked enough about this lately! (snore)

McCain can pronounce nuclear. Someone get that to Palin!

I’d like to hear someone say, “Hey, the sun’s in a magnetic withdrawal, and the Earth will cool as a result!”

Obama was beaten soundly by McCain, so he’s now lecturing, and on topics he talked about the past two debates.

He didn’t refute the idea of unilaterally renegotiating NAFTA. Oops.

Obama should look at the size and population of South Korea. 5000 cars is a lot of cars!

Wow, McCain just smacked Obama on free trade. He’s willing to hurt the US Economy to advance labor policies!

Is McCain wearing pink lipstick?!

Health insurance question! Good thing this wasn’t covered the last two debates!

Put some money into X, Y and Z! Spend our way to Health Care Socialism! Remember, Obama says it’s a right. McCain says its a responsibility.

We do have physical fitness programs. It’s called ‘recess’ and ‘P.E.’

Obama’s lawyering is nutty. But read into it– WalMart needs to have health care for its employees!

Holy crap– do the right thing? So the employer buying insurance is doing the right thing? So much for personal responsibility.

OK, the kids are out of bed.  I’ll let them watch some of Obama and fall asleep.

Even Fox news is claiming Obama won the debate. I can’t believe my ears. I still think Obama will lose big time for the same reason McGovern and Dukakis both did. The real hero of the debate was that plumber. If Obabma is not leading by more than 8 points on election eve he will lose. It is called the “Bradley effect.”

Trust me but of course you won’t. Nobody does.

    I trust nobody!

Especially the media. I’ve been amazed at the polling data and its inconsistency, which leads me to believe that the methodology is screwy, or the public is so on the fence that there are wild swings.

Considering how much in the tank the media’s been in Obama, I’m not inclined to believe “national” polls. The polls that are more useful are the state polls, as those are the ones that really end up deciding the election.
