I wish I was making this up.
Of course we can have CNN, MSNBC, NBC, ABC, and CBS, all who have definitive slants towards one side of the political spectrum (hint: rhymes with greft), but if you want to apply the fairness doctrine, then you have to eliminate many of the conservative talkers out there and give equal time to someone from a different slant. Regardless if it’s commercial.
Schumer compares it to pornography, which is different because there are limits on something publicly indecent on the air (but watch a few eps of Gossip Girl and we can pretty much say porno is mainstream). So, he’s equating conservative, political analysis with pornography, and uses a regulation precedent to do so.
Schumer is the worst of the worst, willing to do anything to preserve political power. He’s a prime example of why we need term limits.
