The Dead Computer

My laptop bought the proverbial farm last week after it succumbed to gravity and was saved by hard floor of my office.  Between that and the end-o’-semester class-load, I’ve been too busy to post, although there are some things I must update (such as at lease two Barack Obama updates for the list o’ broken promises page).  As a result, blogging has been especially light, but I haven’t forgotten about my dear readers.  However, without a good laptop, I’ll have to lean on the old desktop in my office.

I’m guessing the repair bill will make the purchase of a new laptop inevitable.  The MacBook was nice, but it cemented one thing in my mind:  Mac’s are nice, but finding software for them is a pain in the rear, and their PC emulators are still clunky (although BootCamp would do reasonably well).
