The Definition of Insanity

I’ve heard insanity can be defined as doing the same thing repeatedly while expecting different results each time.

It seems our President is “insane”.  Stimulus I hasn’t produced any jobs, and as my analysis and the analysis at HotAir has proven, the stimulus jobs are mostly VaporLabor (defined as jobs that can’t be proven as created or saved, or jobs that were “saved” that were never in jeopardy to begin with).  But now Obama is out talking about another round of government spending to try and stimulate more job growth.

I think the last thing we need is more government assistance in this matter.  Just ask this chart from innocentbystanders.net:

How many times does America hope to win friends by exporting Democracy at gunpoint? Obama has just announced a further ‘surge’ in Afghanistan, continuously pumping in American troops and treasure. Is he a slow learner, or is he insane?

As a disinterested bystander put me down as voting ‘insane’.

Has anyone produced any “data” about the Earth’s own temperature, and I don’t mean its atmospheric temperature. I mean it’s core temperature. We live on a massive ball of fire, not that anyone seems to notice or care. Has anyone studied and produced decades of “raw data”, even “homogenized” data, or maybe a reverse or ant-“hockey stick” on the fluctuations of core temperature, where it happens, and how it affects our oceans and terrestrial life cycles to rule it out as negligible or irrelevant?

The Earth used to have 20 times more CO2 than it has now. That should leave one nagging question and one unsettling one. The first is, “where did it all come from?” The second is, “what caused so much of it to… deplete”? The earth has LOST 19/20ths of its CO2 from hundreds of millions of years ago. Who’s to say it’s morally right to deplete it even more when science has shown we’ve already lost so much?

Also, has anyone considered the effects on our planet of sudden, excessive reductions of CO2? Agriculture absolutely depends on it along with our global food supplies. And what if we “shoot the wad” on the CO2 theory and we find out it’s all wrong? What if we find out it really is solar winds or the Earth’s core running a fever that’s causing it? What then? Do we go begging to all the oracles sitting on their multi-trillion dollar mountains of carbon trade credits to pretty please change their “consensus” as they chuckle, “oops!” in our faces?

Or what if we in fact warmed things up just a tick more? What would happen if the Northern hemisphere developed milder winters and a longer growing season, especially when so many people in developing countries are starving? What then?

And really, if the predictions are as dire as they say it is, why is there so little “infrastructure stimulus” given to building biospheres? Why is there no “Plan B”, just “our way or the highway”?

Saying the science is “settled” is not the same as saying the science is either a) “proven”, or b) “complete”.

Al Gore is reliably quoted as stating that the temperature inside the Earth is “millions of degrees”. (Googling should verify.) But I wouldn’t trust the nice Mr Gore any further than I can throw a London bus with one hand, into the wind, while standing up in a hammock. But that’s just me …
I also read an Australian geologist offering sub-aqua volcanic activity as a source of oceanic warming, sounds reasonable.

    Like the UK’s ‘Eden Project’?
No need if ‘they’ can just get the world’s population down a few billion and keep it there. I expect that new laws will come in, to the effect that to reproduce you will have to get a licence first; so no need for biospheres anyway.

I see where you’re coming from, and like it. Good luck!

The only jobs the federal government can create are federal jobs which swell the government to unmanageable proportions. Neither the federal nor state governments can create a grocery store on Main Street that would employ locals. Nancy Pelosi said that passage of the Health Care Deform Act would instantly create 440,000 jobs — all of which would be federal bureaucrats to enforce the provisions of that Act against the American people. Governments create nothing. Entrepreneurs create jobs. For every government job created, a potential producer of wealth is removed from the economy and lives as a parasite off the rest of the people.

It’s not only your president that is insane, it’s your whole system. That the American people accept it shows without a doubt exactly who is insane.

At the risk of being declared a CT nutter, either your pres and his merry minions are quite loopy or they are following an agenda of their own, one in which everything the rest of us hold sacred is expendable. Your call.
